Motorola mobiles score highest on radiation

"Phoneyworld.com - Articles - Ouch Moto that Hurts"

A recent comparison of the SAR values of all the handset that are available in the US reveals that the top 5 unenviable positions are all held by the same manufacturer- Motorola. For once Motorola’s competitors will be more than happy to let it wear this crown of thorns. As we all know, the Federal Communications Commission http://www.fcc.gov makes it compulsory for the manufacturers to mention the SAR Rate with every wireless hand set that they wish to release.

The handsets that are at the top along with their respective SAR values are:

Name SAR
1 Motorola V120c 1.55
2 Motorola V70 1.55
3 Motorola P8767 1.55
4 Motorola ST7868 1.53
5 Motorola ST7868W 1.53

These levels are obtained when the phone is kept next to the ear. The FCC does not permit handsets if their SAR values exceed 1.6W/Kg.

What is SAR??Answer: The SAR is a value that corresponds to the relative amount of RF energy absorbed in the head of a user of a wireless handset. The FCC limit for public exposure from cellular telephones is an SAR level of 1.6 watts per kilogram (1.6 W/kg).
